Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Spendo Chrome extension and website ("Spendo", "we", "us"), owned and operated by SUWAMINATHAN VIJIN, collect, why, and the choices you have. Spendo is designed to collect only what it needs to work.

1. Information we collect

WhatWhy we need it
Google account email and account ID (when you sign in with Google)To create your Spendo account, apply your free ad allowance and link your paid plan to you.
Public details of ads you open in the Meta Ad Library (Library ID, ad text, start/end dates, active status, number of variants, call-to-action, price shown in the ad)To calculate the estimates you request. These are publicly visible ads, not your own data.
Usage records — which ad IDs you opened and whenTo enforce the free plan limit and fair-use limits on paid plans.
Subscription details — plan, billing cycle, status, renewal date and Razorpay subscription IDTo give you the features you paid for and manage renewals and cancellations.
Team members' emails (Agency plan only, if you add them)To give your teammates access under your plan.

We do not collect your Facebook or Meta account data, your browsing history, your passwords, or the content of any page other than the Meta Ad Library pages where Spendo runs.

2. Payments

Payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card, UPI or bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout and are never sent to or stored by Spendo. Razorpay's handling of your payment information is governed by Razorpay's own privacy policy.

3. Data stored in your browser

The extension stores a short-lived Google sign-in token, your account and plan summary, and your settings (such as the on/off toggle) in Chrome's extension storage on your device. You can clear this by signing out or removing the extension.

4. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below that are needed to run Spendo.

5. Service providers

6. Google user data

Spendo requests only the openid and email scopes, used solely to identify you and connect your account to your plan.

Spendo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, or to comply with the law.

7. Chrome Web Store user data

The use of information collected by the Spendo extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide Spendo's single purpose: showing ad insights in the Meta Ad Library.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep your account and subscription records while your account is active and as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. Paid-plan usage logs are kept for a short period for fair-use checks.

To delete your account and associated data, email spendoadstracker@gmail.com from the email address you signed in with. We will confirm and process the request within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law.

9. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to the database is restricted to Spendo's servers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

10. Children

Spendo is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. If changes are significant, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the extension.
